DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Kyle Petty will initiate the auction for the final motorcycle as part of the officially licensed "NASCAR 60th Anniversary Motorcycle Series brought to you by Destination Daytona" during the Coke Zero 400 on Saturday at Daytona International Speedway (watch video).
To commemorate the 60 years of NASCAR, Bruce Rossmeyer, CEO of 15 Harley-Davidson locations including the World's Largest Harley-Davidson dealership located at Bruce Rossmeyer's Destination Daytona teamed up with NASCAR to create 60 custom motorcycles, each individually serialized No. 1 through 60. Each motorcycle captures the true essence of NASCAR -- a sport that combines design, technology and speed.
Motorcycle No. 60 in the series will be presented to Petty, who initiated the auction of the one-of-a-kind motorcycle with proceeds benefiting Victory Junction Gang Camp, his charity for terminally and chronically ill children.
The bidding for the motorcycle is currently under way and continues through noon ET on July 14th. Fans can bid online
as well as onsite at the display outside Daytona during the Coke Zero 400 weekend.
