McReynolds will provide in-depth race analysis and coverage from both the studio set position as well as roving locations around the track. From interviewing crew chiefs on pit road to conducting demonstrations on a cutaway car, McReynolds' role will allow him to traverse the track to help take viewers closer to the action.
"We're fortunate to have Larry McReynolds join our team and serve in such a unique role," said Jeff Behnke, Turner Sports executive producer. "We created this position specifically for him because we knew that he could provide the viewers at home unique analysis from the crew chief perspective.
"Larry is well-respected in the NASCAR community and we're honored to include his vast knowledge and experience to our telecasts."
Launching his career in NASCAR in 1975, McReynolds is recognized as one of the sport's most successful crew chiefs, enjoying 23 victories, 21 pole positions, 122 top-five finishes and 208 top-10s. His career highlights include serving as crew chief to both Davey Allison and Dale Earnhardt during their Daytona 500 wins in 1992 and 1998, respectively, as well as winning two consecutive NASCAR all-star races in 1991 and 1992.
Petty joins TNT this season after calling select Busch Series races in 2006. Petty will serve as a race analyst for all six of the network's Cup Series races, analyzing the race at Infineon Raceway on June 24 from behind the wheel of his No. 45 Dodge.
Dallenbach and Weber have both served as TNT NASCAR announcers for the past six seasons.
Ralph Sheheen and Lindsay Czarniak join Marty Snider and Matt Yocum this year as pit reporters.
TNT's coverage of six consecutive 2007 Nextel Cup Series races begins June 10 at Pocono Raceway and concludes July 15 from Chicagoland Speedway.
