1. What's the best advice you've ever received, and who was it from?
Kyle Petty: The best advice I ever received was probably from my mother. When it became obvious that I was going to pursue racing as a career, she told me to just be myself and never forget where you came from. We are just from Randleman, N.C. It's a rural town. They know my father as Richard and that's it. I think that has been good advice.
2. What's the one thing you do that makes your wife roll her eyes?
Petty: You know, I don't know. That's a good question. I'm sure there are some things, but she's great. She does a ton with the Victory Junction Gang Camp
now. She does a lot there and I'm off racing cars.

3. What was your first car?
Petty: My first car was a Datsun 240Z. That was a fun car to drive. If you have ever been to Randleman, you know there are a lot of quiet, country roads. It was a good car.
4. What was your favorite subject in high school?
Petty: The easiest for me might have been physical education. I got into baseball, basketball and football when I was growing up. I did a lot with football. I like to read, too. I did a lot of reading and do that a lot today.
5. What athlete outside of racing do you most admire?
Petty: I like watching the golfers now. I think they are under a lot of pressure and have a ton of skill for what they do. Guys like Davis Love III, Tiger Woods and guys like that are pretty amazing. I like the Green Bay Packers, watching them win championships, fall down a little and come back. I think you can compare that a lot to Petty Enterprises. We're on our way back.
6. What's your favorite food?
Petty: Grilled chicken. It's simple.
7. What do you feel is your biggest strength?
Petty: Oh, I don't know. Everybody knows that I love to talk. That is why I am excited about my TNT deal. They are going to pay me to talk about something I know a lot about.
8. What is the last movie you bought?
Petty: I don't remember the last movie I bought. The last one that I watched was called The Terror of Tiny Town. It was on Turner Classic Movies. It's a western about a town full of smaller people. I like the Turner Classic Movies.
9. If you could put together a band of musicians from all time, who would you choose to jam with?
Petty: That is a hard one. I don't know. I liked Elvis and a lot of country music. It's tough to say any specifics, but it would be cool to get with Elvis.
10. If your dad and grandfather raced each other in their primes, who would win?
Petty: OK, now you are getting into comparing eras. That is just a hard thing to do. They were tough, tough guys back in their day and time. They raced together a few times, but things are different today.
